3D Realms, founded in 1987 and responsible for first-person shooter titles Duke Nukem and Wolfenstein 3D have ceased trading. The company was working on Duke Nukem Forever at the time of its closure. Take-Two, publisher of the Duke Nukem titles retains rights to the games but has stated they will not be funding any further developments to the series.

Capcom has sold over 400,000 copies of Resident Evil 5 on the PlayStation 3 in Japan. The game hit the shops on 12 March and has managed to outsell the same game on the Xbox 360.
